A crazy, awesome cover illustration. For a crazy, awesome album. Incredible.

Until I popped open the full-size “album cover” in iTunes just now, I didn’t realize it was one of these funky optical illusions. It hurts. But I can’t stop looking at it.
Finn designed our Christmas card this year. The project is in the current issue of ReadyMade, actually. Here’s the assembly line: the full forest of printed trees and Finn autographing each one. After these shots, we decorated the trees and then popped them all in the mail today!

A big cardboard box is still more fun than all your other toys. This one is a meticulously decorated spaceship.

Busted out the ol’ fisheye lens today while playing with Cormac.

This one is shooting through the fisheye backwards:

We’re proud of him, but not as proud as he is to get this little slip. Very coveted in his preschool class, apparently.

…or at least this project. I’ve been stressing out about a logo design. It just wasn’t QUITE there yet. Just now, I went to open up the Illustrator file, and when I selected the file on my desktop, I got that mashed-up Illustrator preview—all the layers at once.
Usually annoying, and a mess, this time, the quirk actually gave me an insight into what a hybrid, amalgam, MASH-UP of my various ideas for the logo would look like, and VOILA!—a better solution!
We’ll see if it turns out to “The One”. More to come…
