I love my family. And I love that they gave me the some wonderful gifts for Father’s Day. But ironically, in the Hazen Household, both Father’s and Mother’s Day have become a day to celebrate the joy of being kid-free—some might call it “Me Time”, but let’s call a spade a spade, shall we?
Normally I celebrate by going out and shooting Chicago Type or buying used books. While I did a little of the latter today, my free time this weekend was mostly devoted to indulging my new pasttime. Below is my haul from two record shops: Beverly Records (much more about that place here) and 2nd Hand Tunes in Evanston, a good, solid record store.

This movie didn’t make it onto my radar at all when it hit the theaters. Now it’s on DVD—and I am quite intrigued. (via Redbox.)
Since it’s hot now, I ordered a bunch of t-shirts from my various Spreadshirt shops for all of us. A few I hadn’t even seen in person yet, including this one—my favorite of the new shipment—for Cormac. Yeah, it’s gold…

Cormac and I just got back from the zoo. The polar bear was awesome. Though he came a little close for Cormac’s comfort.
